Wow, I haven't updated this journal in almost a year! Scary how time flies.

Just thought I'd pop in to say I'm alive and well. Not in school right now, just busy with other things, mainly work, writing and home improvement projects. Haven't drawn much in a while either. I do miss it... fortunately, dA is a great place for inspiration!

My husband and I were incredibly blessed to survive the hurricane virtually unscathed. For those who don't know (and I don't remember if it's anywhere in my profile), we live about 30 miles north of downtown Houston. Our power was restored in less than 48 hours, and we had no property damage except for 2 segments of fence blown down. There are many that still need our prayers, though, especially in the Galveston area. Recovery from this disaster will continue for years to come.
